Cress planting

As we round off our Rainforest topic, P4a have been planting cress seeds in the classroom. The children were surprised to discover that you can use damp cotton wool instead of soil! Now that our cress plants have started to grow, the children have taken them home. Don’t forget to keep them near a window and water them every day!

P4a have been working hard on their reading skills this week. On Monday, we learned how summarise a text by picking out the most important features . We started by retelling a traditional story and then used our note taking skills to summarise our project X books. Take a look at our work!
