P2/3 Blog 4

It has been a busy fortnight for P2/3 - from Weather Hunts and Football to Children in Need and new reading books! Have a look below to see what we have been doing since our last post!

As part of our Weather STEM Topic we did a Weather hunt in and around the school grounds! We learned all about the seasons and different kinds of weather! We found lots of things to tell us it was Autumn such as red and brown leaves! We noticed that the ground was wet which meant it must have been raining, there were lots of clouds in the sky and the leaves were blowing about meaning it was windy!

Recently we have been learning lots of new songs for the nativity, one of our fab pupils made a stable at home in her own time! Inside it has Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.

Team shot - Pyjama Day!

Team Pudsey!

Matching PJs!

Team Pudsey!

4 little Spider-Men!

Last week was our first Word Aware Celebration! One child from each class was presented with a certificate for using their Word or the Week in class!

Wrapped up for our Weather Hunt!

We analysed our Weather Hunt results and we had all drawn the same conclusion - it was a cold and windy autumn day and had been raining in the morning!

Kieran has joined us again for our next round of football! This week we focused on ball skills and are now ready to play a game!

Check back here in 2 weeks time to keep following our learning story!

P3- 10/11/17

 Primary 3
10/11/17

Primary 3 have been very very busy!

As a Maths Challenge we did some tricky Place Value Code Crackers. All of the children really enjoyed this, even though it was hard at first!

For maths we also love playing Score Out. It can get a bit competitive but we are also learning to be good sports.
Spelling has been super fun this week- we have been using play-dough and magnets .
For reading, as well as reading with Miss Mckenzie and Mrs Sharman we have been doing some paired reading with friends from our group.
