P2's First Blog!

Primary 2 have had a very busy few weeks!!

Halloween

In Primary 2a we celebrated Halloween by making Mischievous Mummies and Pattern Pumpkins! Miss Hampson put these up in class for everyone to see! We loved cutting out the pumpkins and  using toilet roll for our mummies!

Bonfire Night

During the week of Bonfire Night we learned all about staying safe while going out to watch the fireworks and we also learned all about Guy Fawkes and why we celebrate Bonfire Night! We made safety posters and bonfires to show our learning! The children said they "loved putting the fireworks on their posters!" Another of our favourite parts was making a bonfire using coloured paper, paint and glitter!

Dinosaurs

In Primary 2 we have been learning about dinosaurs! We have learned about different types of dinosaurs, different time periods and fossils! We loved using the little brushes to brush the sand off of the fossils! We learned all about palaeontologists and what they do! We also looked at different ways of how dinosaurs became extinct!

Assembly

We wanted to show off all of the information we have learned about dinosaurs so we planned an assembly to display all of our work! We shouted out facts to mums, dads, grannies, grandpas and lots more visitors! We held up all our art work and sang some dino songs! We were very excited to talk about dinosaurs and it was "all very good!" Some of us were a little nervous because everyone was watching BUT we still enjoyed it a lot!
