Maths Week Scotland

GEOMETRIC ART CHALLENGE

We learnt about the importance of geometry in art and learnt that many religious buildings around the world are decorated with geometric patterns. We then created our own geometric designs.
Holly carefully using her ruler
Toni-Marie outlined her finished pattern

Miley-Skye colouring her finished design

Chanel ensuring every line creates perfect symmetry

Our first challenge was to build a cube using using 8 cubes(4 different colours) Each face of the cube could only have one of each colour!

An even bigger challenge was to build a cuboid from
16 cubes with no two colours the same on each face.

The next challenge was with a cuboid-
Holly and Jamie completed it first!
Great team working!
