Trip to Kelvingrove

Just before the October week, P4a enjoyed a trip to Kelvingrove Museum to visit the Ancient Egypt Gallery.
We had a very interesting workshop with Lesley, followed by a handling session where we touched artefacts that are thousands of years old! After that we had a look around the rest of the museum.

Levi, Skye and Jayden practise their mummification skills.

Reece and cameron reading about the jobs done by boys in Ancient Egypt. And you think Mrs Bartoletti gives you lots of work to do?

Lesley is telling the children all about the collection.

Aaron is dressed as a Pharoh!
Alisha dressed as Anubis, the God of death.

Kyle is also joining in with dressing up.

Jayden is reading about what happens to the organs when a person is mummified.
The children tried their hardest to open the stone sarcophagus but it was just too heavy!

Some of the precious objects we got to hold.
