It has been a very busy last week in Primary 2! To start off our week we took part in Sports Day! We had to join in races such as egg and spoon race, a sack race, dress up race, obstacle race and the sprint race. We awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to both the boys and girls! We have yet to find out the overall winning team!
The next day we had our Celebration of Success Award Ceremony. We had all decided why we had been successful this year and wrote it on a certificate! Miss Hampson and Miss Cheape read our certificates out in front of mum's and dad's and we got to take them home! We also got to sing a learning song, we chose Waka Waka from our school assembly but we changed the words! We then all sang You've Got A Friend In Me from Toy Story! We also finished our new blackboards!
On Wednesday, we had a visit from the Animal Man! He had been at the School Fayre and came back for a visit to tell us more about the animals! We got to see, learn about and touch lots of animals such as a tarantula, (we didn't get to touch this!!) a chicken called Nuggets, a bearded dragon, a turtle called Bart and a snake! Some boys and girls were a little frightened but they were all very brave and listened to all the information about the animals!
On Thursday we had our church service. We got to sing 2 songs and say goodbye to the primary 7s!
On Friday Miss Cheape and Miss Hampson set up a movie day for us, we got to pick our movie from Netflix and we had popcorn, juice, marshmallows and haribo! We watched storks!
Throughout the whole week we have been very busy getting organised, we have collected all our work to take home and made leaving presents for everyone! We are ready for summer!!
